Newcastle defender Fabian Schar was knocked unconscious during Switzerland's Euro 2020 qualifier away to Georgia but still managed to play on.
Schar clashed heads with Georgia's Jemal Tabidze and was treated by medics.
He was left on his back after his legs buckled under him.
The 27-year-old laid motionless on the pitch, with players from both sides rushing to his attention.
There were initially fears that Schar may have swallowed his tongue.
After receiving treatment for four minutes Schar was able to carry on playing.
Switzerland secured a 2-0 victory, with Steven Zuber and Denis Zakaria on the scoresheet, while Schar completed the whole 90 minutes.
Schar has made 18 Premier League appearances for Newcastle this season after joining the club from Deportivo La Coruna last summer.
The centre back was winning his 48th cap for Switzerland.
