Neymar fires back at Borussia Dortmund after taunting PSG following shock defeat by Lorient

Almost 11 months on from PSG's Champions League knockout victory over Borussia Dortmund, the fall-out surrounding the French giants' post-match celebrations still rings true to this day.

After seeing off Dortmund to secure their passage into the last-eight of the Champions League last season, PSG mocked Erling Haaland by mimicking his trademark meditation celebration, which riled up football fans.

Neymar himself also also brought the meditation act out after he opened the scoring last year at the Parc des Princes, as PSG stars seemed to retaliate following Haaland's celebration during the first leg which Dortmund had won.

And Dortmund clearly hadn't forgotten about PSG's actions going off Sunday's social media antics.

After PSG were stunned by Lorient 3-2 in Ligue 1, Lorient players celebrated their comeback victory by performing the mediation celebration by the corner flag.

Dortmund immediately took to Twitter to retweet Lorient's picture of the celebration, captioning their post: 'What goes around...' alongside a wink emoji.

Neymar has since responded on Twitter to Dortmund's jibe, replying with a picture of himself performing the celebration after he opened the scoring in the 2-0 victory in Paris last season in the Champions League fixture.

To add insult to injury, Brazil star Neymar captioned his post: 'U remember', alongside a laughing emoji.

PSG's anguish towards Haaland, who scored a brace in last season's first-leg that Dortmund won 2-1, came after a fake post went viral.

A picture of Haaland with the caption 'my city, not yours' with 'Paris' handwritten across his jumper after the first leg was purportedly taken from his Snapchat account.

But the post was in fact fake so PSG's anger towards the Norwegian was unjustified.

It was claimed that PSG's players found Dortmund arrogant after their first-leg defeat which added fuel to the fire at the time.

Haaland posted pictures of his celebration along with the caption 'ZENsational win' following the first-leg home victory.

Neymar highlighted the animosity when he dived to head in Angel di Maria's inswinging corner and celebrated by sitting down in front of the Dortmund bench, crossing his legs and performing a meditative pose after putting his side ahead in the second leg.

He later posted an image of the celebration on his Instagram account with the caption 'Paris our city, not yours' - the same words Haaland was supposed to have published.
