Nottingham Forest are in talks to sign Brazilian youth international Angelo Gabriel from Santos.

The 18-year-old has made 100 appearances in all competitions for the Alvinegro, after making his debut in 2020 just two days after his 16th birthday.

Gabriel had previously been linked with a move to Newcastle in the Summer, with reports from Brazil claiming at the time that Santos had rejected a £22million bid for the magpies for their young winger.

Meanwhile the club remain hopeful of concluding a deal to bring in experienced PSG goalkeeper Keylor Navas to the club before the transfer deadline.

Dean Henderson suffered an injury in the club's Premier League victory over Leicester earlier this month with his return date still unknown, and Navas would be expected to provide competition to Wayne Hennessey for a spot in the starting XI.

Navas is a three-time Champions League winner from his time with Real Madrid, and recently captained Costa Rica at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

However, since the arrival of Gianluigi Donnarumma at the Parisian club in 2021, Navas has increasingly found himself as the Italian's understudy, and is yet to make a Ligue 1 appearance for Christophe Galtier's side this season.

Harry Toffolo is currently discussing the possibility of a move away from the City Ground, with the 27-year-old defender in talks for a potential loan move to Anderlecht.

Toffolo was one of the sea of new arrivals to Steve Cooper's squad this summer, but the former Huddersfield star has made just six Premier League starts so far this season.
