OFFICIAL: Matteo Pérez Vinlöf has extended his contract at FC Bayern until 2027 and joined Austria Wien on a season-long loan deal

FC Bayern has given Matteo Pérez Vinlöf a professional contract until 2027. As part of this, the 18-year-old Swede will be loaned to the Austrian first division club Austria Wien for the coming season.

Pérez Vinlöf : "For me, the move to Austria is a good step in my career to gain experience at a strong club in a wonderful city. My debut for Bayern and my first call-up to the Swedish national team felt surreal at first - like a dream - but now I'm looking forward to being able to prove myself in my first season in a top division."

Christoph Freund: "Matteo is an extremely hard-working, disciplined player who made his mark in our U23 team and has already made his debut with our first team and been called up for Sweden's senior national team for good reason. In order to develop him further in the long term, we have decided to take him from the FC Bayern Campus to the Austrian Bundesliga. At Austria Wien, we were able to gain a very good experience with Frans Krätzig. We are convinced that Matteo will take the next step there to establish himself in professional football"
