Liverpool forward Fabio Carvalho has completed a season-long loan to RB Leipzig.
Jurgen Klopp wants the 20-year-old to gain more experience after making just 22 appearances in all competitions last season, only starting seven games.
The Bundesliga club had wanted to sign the Portuguese winger permanently but there has been no option-to-buy clause inserted into the loan deal.
With Liverpool pushing to sign Leipzig's £60million-rated Dominik Szoboszlai, his chances of a first-11 berth this season look limited - even if the Hungarian would typically play on the right wing as opposed to Carvalho's favoured left.
'As a young player, it's a big step for me to move from England to the Bundesliga and RB Leipzig,' Carvalho told Leipzig's website.
'My goal is to play as much as possible, in the league, the cup and especially in the Champions League.
'RB Leipzig have a reputation for giving young players these kinds of opportunities, which is why this is the perfect club for me to continue my development at.'
Liverpool rejected a £7.7million bid for the winger last month and have no interest in selling him, despite interest from the likes of Burnley, West Ham, and Bournemouth.
Carvalho made a quick start to life with the Reds after joining from Fulham last summer, playing in 10 of their first 11 Premier League matches this campaign.
He joined on the back of a strong year with Fulham, having scored 11 goals in 38 matches.
