Krzysztof Piatek has officially joined Milan in a deal worth €35m plus bonuses after 19 goals in 21 games for Genoa.
The 23-year-old Poland international was picked up from Cracovia Krakow for just €4.5m in July and became an immediate sensation.
He found the net 13 times in 19 Serie A appearances, along with six goals in just two Coppa Italia matches, including four on his competitive debut.
Piatek had his medical this morning and put pen to paper on a contract to June 2023 at Casa Milan this evening, reportedly worth €2m per season.
He'll be presented to the media in a Press conference on Thursday afternoon.
With in mind the talk of a 'Curse of the Milan Number 9' jersey, as all those who wore it have flopped since Pippo Inzaghi's retirement, Piatek has chosen Number 19 instead.
His arrival sparks a domino effect on the transfer market, as now Gonzalo Higuain is free to join Chelsea via Juventus, terminating his loan with Milan six months early.
