Double contract signing for Bayern — Manuel Neuer (37) and Sven Ulreich (35) extend their contracts at the club until 2025.
Manuel Neuer: “I am happy to stay at FC Bayern for another year. After my long injury, I'm back again. I really enjoy being on the pitch with this team. I am convinced that together with the fans we can achieve our big goals in the next few years - and of course that includes the Champions League final in Munich in 2025. Knowing Sven will continue to be by my side makes it all the better"
Sven Ulreich: "When I joined FC Bayern from Stuttgart in 2015, I never thought I would stay here for so long. I have now extended it until 2025 and will continue to do my part to achieve our goals. I'm looking forward to continuing to work with Manuel and also Daniel Peretz and our goalkeeping coach Michael Rechner. I have much more in common with Manuel than just a passion for football; we are friends."
Christoph Freund: "We are very happy to have Manuel and Sven with us beyond the current season. Together with Daniel Peretz they form a goalkeeping team that is second to none. Their sporting and human qualities and their teamwork are exceptional."
"Manuel is our captain and has been the best goalkeeper in the world for many years. He has taken goalkeeping to a new level and is in the tradition of the great FC Bayern goalkeepers such as Sepp Maier and Oliver Kahn. Sven has impressively demonstrated his class, not least during the last few months when Manuel was unavailable. In addition, with his calm and open way in the dressing room, he is an important integrative factor."
Jan-Christian Dreesen: "Manuel Neuer and Sven Ulreich are simply a 'dream team'. It's fun to watch them at work every day. They support and motivate each other and exemplify the values that characterize FC Bayern."
"Sven Ulreich was more than a worthy replacement for Manuel Neuer during his injury break and we know that we can rely on him. Since his comeback, Manuel Neuer has shown that he has lost none of his abilities."
"Accordingly, we are very happy that this great team will continue to play for FC Bayern. They are not only colleagues, but also friends and their shared fair play is exemplary."
