On this day in 2004, Jose Mourinho led FC Porto to win their second European title after beating Monaco 3-0 in Gelsenkirchen. It was the first European trophy of The Special One's career.
In that season's Champions League, Porto miraculously defeated Man Utd in the round of 16, and then eliminated Lyon and La Coruna.
After that season, Mourinho moved to Chelsea and embarked on an extraordinary career in the Premier League.
