Cristiano Ronaldo scores four goals in one match for the first time in his career, Real Madrid 6-1 Racing Santander.

A dominant Real Madrid demolished Racing Santander 6-1 at the Santiago Bernabeu, with Higuain opening the scoring early in the match before Cristiano Ronaldo bagged four and Mesut Ozil scored with an excellent strike in the second half.

It wasn't long before Madrid were two up, as Alvaro Arbeloa played a lovely ball down the right side for Higuain who was alert a fired in an early low cross which Cristiano Ronaldo raced onto, going past two defenders in the process, to smash home from close range.

As a contest, the game was over after 27 minutes as Ronaldo bagged his second of the match. And Di Maria drove down the right side and made his way into the box before laying the ball to Ronaldo who had time to trap the ball, turn and shoot from close range for this hat-trick.

It got worse for Racing and Domingo Cisma in particular when he tripped Di Maria on the edge of the area to give away a penalty kick. Ronaldo stepped up and made it five for Los Blancos and four for him on the night.
