Footage has emerged of Porto's players and coaches jubilantly celebrating after Atletico Madrid's late penalty miss on Wednesday, which resulted in the Portuguese side qualifying for the Champions League's last 16.
Porto, who beat group leaders Club Brugge 4-0 on Wednesday, had a nervous wait before their spot in the knockouts was confirmed, as Atletico and Bayer Leverkusen played out a close 2-2 draw.
Yannick Carrasco missed a 98th minute penalty in dramatic fashion to scupper Atletico's chances of catching the Portuguese giants in Group B, prompting mass celebrations amongst the Porto players and staff.
Footage shows the squad watching the crucial moment on their phones whilst travelling back to Portugal by plane, before launching into mass celebrations.
The players huddled in a exuberant embrace whilst chanting and bouncing, becoming only the 11th team so far to qualify for the next stage of the competition.
Mehdi Taremi fired Porto ahead in the first-half before goalkeeper Diogo Costa saved two penalties to deny Bruges a route back into the game just after the break.
Evanilson, Stephen Eustaquio and Taremi then added three more goals in the second-half to hand the visitors the convincing 4-0 win.
Meanwhile, it was a miserable night for Spanish football as both Barcelona and Atletico crashed out of the tournament.
Diego Simeone's side head into the final matchday on five points, unable to catch up to group leaders Bruges on ten points or Porto on nine.
As a result, Atletico exit the competition at the group stage for only the second time in the last 10 years.
The last 16 draw is scheduled to take place on November 7.
