Ange Postecoglou discusses Arsenal vs Tottenham and sends ambitious message to fans
Ange Postecoglou may be focusing on one game at a time but that has not stopped people reminding him of the upcoming North London Derby. Returning to Premier League action on Saturday afternoon with Sheffield United making the trip to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, Spurs' following game sees them make the short trip across the capital to the Emirates Stadium.
"Yeah, Sheffield United first. One game at a time, game at a time," he said when speaking on talkSPORT. "It's a big game and whenever I get stopped in the street these days that's the first fixture people speak about, whatever side of the fence they're on.
Son Heung-min injury update after Tottenham concern sparked ahead of South Korea vs Saudi Arabia
Tottenham star Son Heung-min has been selected in the South Korea side set to play Saudi Arabia at Newcastle's St James' Park on Tuesday evening after fears that he would miss the game through injury.
As it happens, Son is ready to captain his side for the game and has been picked to go from the start by former Spurs striker Jurgen Klinsmann.
The injury, which was first seen after images of Son emerged from the Newcastle based training camp, is believed to have been picked up during a training drill. Son is said to have fell down with coaches worried for his fitness but he returned to finish the session afterwards.
Ange Postecoglou's 25-man Premier League squad and the surprise name Tottenham could include
Amid the previous concerns over naming a 25-man squad for the first half of the 2023/24 Premier League season, things should now be rather straightforward for Ange Postecoglou and Tottenham. Following a late flurry of outgoings before the summer deadline, Spurs' big numbers gradually began to decrease.
They would then drop by a further two after the closure of the Premier League transfer window as the head coach gave the green light for both Davinson Sanchez and Tanguy Ndombele to link up with Galatasaray. Whereas the former has joined the Turkish giants on a permanent deal, the latter has only moved on a season-long loan and there is a chance he will return to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium come next summer unless they activate their option to buy him.
