Real Madrid players spend the night at Valdebebas with focus on Viktoria Plzen

Julen Lopetegui has grouped his Real Madrid players together this Monday evening, ahead of their Champions League match against Viktoria Plzen.

They will spend the night in the bedrooms of Valdebebas, just the second time they've done so this season.

Normally the players are allowed to spend the night before a match at home before meeting up on the matchday morning.

Only for the trip to CSKA Moscow - when the distance required advanced travel - and the home LaLiga game against Levante last Saturday - when there was an early kick-off time of 13:00 CEST - have they gathered together the night before.

But they do so again this Monday, with the reason being the need for maximum concentration and focus.

Even though the game won't start until 21:00 CEST, the players met around 24 hours before then at the car park of the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu and were then taken to Valdebebas, where they'll spend the night and the hours before the must-win clash.
