Revealed: Why Ronaldo ALWAYS takes to the pitch with his right foot first

Undoubtedly one of the greatest players of all time, Cristiano Ronaldo has made a huge impact on the football world.

From his incredible goalscoring exploits to his iconic 'Siu' celebration, Ronaldo's legacy in the game is undeniable.

One thing that many supporters may not have noticed about Ronaldo, however, is the way in which he enters the pitch.

The 39-year-old has made a habit of always stepping onto the pitch with his right foot first.

Ronaldo has continued to follow that practice since making the switch to Al-Nassr.

It is due to a saying in Portuguese culture -  'entra com a direita', which means 'enter with the right'.

Portuguese fan Jessica Andres said on YouTube: 'The right one thing isn't superstition. It's a Portuguese culture 'entra com a direita' meaning enter with the right.

'And it's pretty common in other countries too, Spain, India, Indonesia, Italy, Greece, Brazil, Russia, Asian countries, and Muslim counties too. Nothing strange.'

Since joining Al-Nassr, Ronaldo has scored an impressive 56 goals in 60 appearances.

However, Al-Nassr have missed out on the league title again this year, with Al-Hilal, who are 12 points ahead of them, having been crowned champions.

During his illustrious career, which has encompassed two spells at Manchester United, as well as stints with Sporting, Real Madrid and Juventus, Ronaldo has won the Ballon d'Or on five occasions.
