Cristiano Ronaldo rolled back the years as he brought out his iconic 'Calma' celebration when met by a group of enthusiastic Man United fans.

The 37-year-old has had a rollercoaster of a season with United - both on and off the pitch - but that hasn't stopped the five-time Ballon d'Or winner from being adored by Red Devil fans.

And in a new video, the Portuguese superstar can be seen gesturing at fans to calm down as they shouted and screamed for an autograph from the United legend.

In the video, Ronaldo can be seen signing a fan's shirt as supporters surrounding him continued to call his name and hold out pens and memorabilia for him to sign.

The forward takes a look up at the crowd before putting both hands up - slightly different to his iconic Camp Nou celebration - and gestured for the fans to 'Calma'.

The former Real Madrid striker doesn't utter a word after making the hand signal and simply moves on to the next person in line.

Some fans understood immediately what message Ronaldo was trying to send as shouts of 'Calma! Calma!' are heard from behind the camera.

Ronaldo re-used the iconic celebration that he performed after scoring the winner against Madrid's fierce rivals in 2012.

In the match, Madrid had taken the lead early on thanks to a Sami Khedira effort after 17 minutes before Barcelona's Alexis Sanchez levelled later in the match.

But, of course, Ronaldo had to have the final say on the night. In the 73rd minute, he ran onto a through-ball from Mesut Ozil and smashed his effort past Victor Valdes.

Instantly, the Madrid No. 7 turned to fans and gestured for them to be quiet - given their jeering and whistling towards Los Blancos throughout the game.

Despite his struggles both on and off the field for United this year, Ronaldo is clearly still worshipped by United fans.

Last month, the forward fell out with manager ten Hag after he refused to come on a substitute during their 2-0 win over Tottenham in the league. He was subsequently dropped from the first-team squad.

Having made amends with the former Ajax coach, Ronaldo has been reinstated in the United squad and has started the last two games for the Red Devils.

The 37-year-old will be hoping he's once again leading the United front-line when they travel to Real Sociedad in the Europa League tomorrow night.
