Ronaldo vs Messi career trophies: 31 with Portugal + 4 clubs vs 34 with Barca

  /  arrowhead

Ronaldo won 31 trophies with Portugal and 4 different clubs. Messi won 34 with Barcelona

Cristiano Ronaldo won his second major international title as Portugal edged out the Netherlands 1-0 in the final of the UEFA Nations League at the Estadio do Dragao last night.

The Portuguese talisman has now won two out of the three finals he has played for his national side, winning the 2016 UEFA Euro in France and now the inaugual UEFA Nations League. The only setback Ronaldo has faced in a final for Portugal was back in 2004, when Greece beat them in the 2004 Euro final.

In contrast, Ronaldo’s arch-rival Lionel Messi’s international career with Argentina has never really taken off. Despite carrying Argentina to four finals on the international stage, Messi has failed to deliver for his national side when it mattered the most.

If Ronaldo had began his career at Laliga, he would have had 800+ League goals by now. Notice how Ronaldo's goal tally suddenly increased as soon as he came to Laliga. In Laliga he was tha quickest to 400 league goals and quickest to have the most Laliga hattricks. But unfortunately, Ronaldo loves challenges and he continues to prove in different clubs and for his country as well. Clearly there is no one like Cristiano Ronaldo.

Just look at these stats, winning titles every region/league he went to play and even for his national team,u just can count on him to play in anywhere in the world, and he still can perform at his best and win you titles. Ronaldo is the name. And for those barca/messi fan which always hates ronaldo and say that he only has played for top teams like man united, madrid and juve so it would be easier for him to win titles, first of all, best players deserved to play with one of the best team in the world, its always has been that way, second, would u think fulham or say real mallorca could afford to pay his transfer fee/wages like for real? 😂 thirdly,of course football is a team sport, but everywhere he plays,he always been the difference and helped his team to win things. And as the fourth, until messi goes out of barca and prove himself in any other league (nevermind even if he goes to the top clubs in other league),he is still unproven in other league,i respect his decision to stay loyal in barca, but in terms of achievement, its hard to compare with ronaldo that conquered/won titles/awards in every league he played. And as of 5th,my God messi is playing for argentina,a clear better footballing nation than portugal though,so stop giving excuse just to hate on ronaldo that leaded his portugal team to win trophies for his national team.

Too many N/A (not available) for messi.... CRISTIANO is my G.O.A.T. he's simply fantastic... so is Messi though... I don't compare both as they are super-talented and of different class from others obviously. I'll choose Rinaldo's journey over Messi's though. winning at different clubs ,different countries and still winning at international I prefer over doing it all for just one club. Atleast for the adventure. I prefers Rinaldo's career...but again messi is a fantastic different kind of player

it's very amazing what Cr7 has achieved both club aand country you can't argue with his achievements in the other hand Messi has been wonderfully amazing for Barcelona not so well for the national side that doesn't change the fact that he is one of the best football magicians of all time. Cr7 loves and crave for new adventures, Messi has loyalty. if I was him I would not leave Barcelona for anything in the world. for the Argentina national team. let's just say they are in the opposite side of luck.

Olympics is an one day tournament where less than ten countries participate...the best team Messi faced there was Nigeria.

Ronaldo Played 10 years in laliga with only 2 league titles, while Messi within the same period that Ronaldo Played had 7 league titles (in 10 years).so what are U saying, Ronaldo ran to Italy because he couldn't dominate in Spain because of Lionel Messi genus.check the stats of both players from the time Ronaldo arrived so you would not be ignorant.
