Manchester United duo Chris Smalling and Phil Jones have enjoyed some downtime together after going on a double date out in Cheshire.
The two England internationals went for some lunch with their wives on Wednesday afternoon ahead of their trip to Brighton this weekend.
Jones and wife Kaya Hall also brought along their newborn baby Alaria as the two couples went for a bite to eat at Parea restaurant in Alderley Edge.
Smalling and Jones will be hoping to make their first appearances of the season when they visit the Amex on Sunday.
Smalling was an unused substitute for United's 2-1 win over Leicester on the opening day of the campaign, while Jones failed to make the bench.
After being a part of the England squad that reached the World Cup semi-finals earlier this summer, Jones has revealed why he returned to United early from his break.
He told the club's official website: 'Somebody asked me about it the other day and I don't think it was as big a deal as the media and the public were making out,' Phil said.
'I wanted to come back. I had a couple of weeks off and I felt ready to go again. It wasn't a big deal for me and the other lads that did it as well.'
Jose Mourinho will likely be without Antonio Valencia, Nemanja Matic and Ander Herrera for their trip to the south coast this weekend.
