Arsenal news: Stan Kroenke has provided Mikel Arteta with the financial means to bring success to the Emirates Stadium this season

Stan Kroenke continued his impressive overhaul at Arsenal this summer with a busy transfer window. The Gunners' main focus over the summer period was to minimise the gap between themselves and Manchester City following last year's Premier League title disappointment.

The investment in Arsenal's playing squad in a bid to replicate the success of Kroenke's other teams has handed Arteta the best possible chance of knocking Man City off the top of English football.

However, the spending has had a telling impact on Kroenke's net worth. Prior to the end of June, according to Bloomberg, it reached a staggering £12.7billion ($14.9bn), a £1.56billion ($2bn) increase from 2022.

Kroenke's wealth made him the fourth richest owner in the Premier League - the second richest individual in comparison to Chelsea's Clearlake Capital and Newcastle's Saudi Arabia Public Investment Fund. However, the work in the transfer window has provided a minor knock to his net worth.

Now, according to Bloomberg, Kroenke's net worth is £12.65billion ($14.8bn), a drop of £79m ($100m). The decrease isn't an alarming amount, with the American businessman seeing his worth rocket over the last few years. Back in 2021, he was worth £6.4billion ($8.3bn) meaning his investment in Arsenal is meaningful.

That figure is, however, expected to drastically change over the course of the season due to the Gunners' participation in the UEFA Champions League.

The club hasn't featured in Europe's prestigious competition since 2017 and the financial benefits are huge.

The new kit draws on the spirit of The Invincibles team of 2003/04, marking the beginning of the 20th anniversary of Arsenal's unbeaten Premier League season. The crest and Adidas’ logo and three stripes down each sleeve feature in gold, and the record of 26 wins and 12 draws over 38 games in that historic season is stitched into the side of the authentic version of the kit.
