Despite being just one year old, Thiago already possesses impressive technique, as he demonstrated by hitting a fierce strike.
Thiago also practised his celebration and certainly seems to have taken tips from Sterling with regards to the way he strikes the ball.
Sterling played the full 90 minutes on Sunday as City returned to winning ways with a 3-1 victory away to Southampton.
City are now seven points behind league leaders Liverpool, with Sterling set to face his former club at the Etihad Stadium.
The 24-year-old will be hoping to help City retain the title, and Pep Guardiola's side know that a win against Liverpool is crucial as they look to close the gap.
This season Sterling has been rather impressive, as demonstrated by the fact that he has scored nine goals and provided seven assists in 17 Premier League appearances.
