Brahim Diaz will be the 12th player from Malaga to ultimately make his way to Real Madrid.

He has joined the capital club from Manchester City to take the next step in his career at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu, as many from his hometown did before him.

We take a look at the 11 Malaga men who have pulled on the famous white jersey in the past.

Fernando Hierro

He is one of the most emblematic defenders in Real Madrid history.

He played a total of 439 games and scored 102 goals.

Although he started in midfield, retreating to defence was where he was at his best.

Fernando Miguel Fernandez

He debuted against Zaragoza in 1999/00, but chances at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu were limited and he went on to greater success at clubs like Betis and Valladolid.

Bernardo Fuentes

Another who had a fleeting time at Real, only playing in one first-team game in 1984.

That year, Real Madrid won the UEFA Cup but it was at Cadiz where he enjoyed greater personal success.

Isco

He must act as a welcoming face for Diaz, having been at Real Madrid since 2013 and played in 168 games, scoring 33 goals.

Although he isn't going through his best time at the moment, he remains an important player.

Antonio Iznata

Another Malaga man who only played in one game, this time in 1968 when Real won the title.

After doing well at Rayo, he had a fleeting time with Los Blancos before joining Murcia.

Juanito

One of the club's great figures, his spirit is still remembered in the seventh minute of every game at the Bernabeu.

In 284 games, he scored 85 times.

Francisco Munoz Perez

He arrived at the Bernabeu after a spell at Valencia.

He played just one season in which he featured in five games before joining Celta.

Francisco Pineda

The forward got to play for Real Madrid on 91 occasions and scored 27 goals during that time.

He came through the Castilla system and, after playing Los Blancos, he returned home briefly to join Malaga, where he ended his career.

Santiago Aragon

The midfielder played across two spells, the second coming after impressing at Logrones.

He played in 26 games and scored twice, as well as winning the Supercopa de Espana.

J Antonio Salguero

He scored eight goals in the 83 games he played as a Madridista.

He formed a partnership with Manolo Sanchis in the famous Quinta del Buitre side.

Although he was never a regular starter, in 1986/87 he did enjoy an excellent individual campaign.

Antonio Sierra Diaz

The central midfielder only played five games in 1940, but can boast of being the first man from Malaga to join Los Merengues after arriving from Granada.
