Real Madrid reportedly offered Robert Lewandowski a signing bonus of £9,863,747 (€10,957,650) as they attempted to convince him to join from Borussia Dortmund in 2013.
As reported by Polish publication Onet Sport, Real offered Lewandowski wages of £167,000-a-week, which totalled £8,650,264 (€9,609,590) over the course of the contract.
Despite Real's lucrative offer, Lewandowski instead moved to Bayern Munich in 2014.
The contract offered by Real was set to run until the end of June 2020.
It also included a list of activities that Lewandowski wouldn't be able to take part in if he was a Real player - riding a motorbike, skiing, going on a motorboat, paragliding and climbing.
Lewandowski was concerned that he could be seen as a back-up option to Karim Benzema.
The Polish striker's time at Bayern has been hugely successful - he has an excellent record of 242 goals in 285 appearances.
He has won the Bundesliga title on six occasions and the DFB-Pokal three times but has yet to win the Champions League.
That could perhaps change this season. Bayern have a three-goal lead going into the second leg of their last-16 tie at home to Chelsea on Saturday.
