Tottenham boss Jose Mourinho has set his sights on five transfer targets to boost his squad, according to the Evening Standard.

The north London club's financial situation mean they have little room to manoeuvre in the transfer market this summer.

The pandemic has blown a £200million hole in their revenues and Mourinho will have to sell before he can buy and rely on free transfers, loans and swap deals in the  the summer transfer window.

Tottenham are expected to renew discussions with Southampton over a fee for Pierre Emile Hojbjerg.

Southampton want £25million for the Danish international holding midfielder who has held talks with Everton but told them he prefers a move to London.

Hojbjerg, who has one year remaining on his contract at Southampton, made 33 league appearances this season.

Spurs have also enquired about Beijing Sinobo Guoan defender Kim Min-jae.

The 6'3" centre-back is rated at £15m and lines up for South Korea alongside Tottenham star Son Heung-min.

Mourinho is also targeting a new right-back, with Atalanta's Belgium international defender Timothy Castagne keen on the move to north London.

A forward is also a priority with the club monitoring Callum Wilson and David Brooks following Bournemouth's relegation from the Premier League.
