The Kenyan missed Spurs’ first two Premier League fixtures after suffering a recurrence of a knee injury during pre-season
Tottenham have been handed a major injury boost with the news that midfielder Victor Wanyama has returned to training.
The Kenyan captain suffered a recurrence of a knee injury which he picked up last summer during Spurs’ US pre-season tour.
That injury kept the midfielder out of Spurs’ first two games of the season, but the club confirmed that Wanyama has returned to training ahead of their trip to face Manchester United at Old Trafford on Monday night.
However, the clash against Man United will come too soon for Wanyama, whose return is boast to Mauricio Pochettino side, who did not sign any player during the summer transfer window.
Wanyama was a very influential figure in helping Spurs finish second in 2016/2017 but has struggled with an injury since the start of last season.
