An injury-hit Tottenham Hotspur are set to face local rivals Chelsea on Sunday, as try to bring an end to the Blues' five-game unbeaten run in the Premier League and Europe.

To do so, though, Spurs boss Nuno Espirito Santo will need a strong squad capable of competing against the reigning European champions, who are having a great start to the season.

Tottenham will be missing Japhet Tanganga due to suspension, while Eric Dier, Son Heung-min, Steven Bergwijn, Ryan Sessegnon and Lucas Moura are working out against the clock to make it in time.

Cristian Romero, Giovani Lo Celso and Davinson Sanchez will return to England on Saturday after going into quarantine in a green-list country following their trip to South America to join their national teams on international duty.

The three players are expected to be fit for the game against Chelsea, but it remains to be seen whether Nuno will introduce any of them in the starting line-up.

Meanwhile, Thomas Tuchel will not have Christian Pulisic at his disposal due to an ankle injury, while N'Golo Kante, who missed the previous two games, is expected to make the squad for the London derby.

On Thursday, Spurs rested several players in their 2-2 draw away at Rennes in the UEFA Conference League, but Nuno also saw Bergwijn and Moura limp off the pitch with knocks.

Tottenham's predicted line-up: Hugo Lloris; Emerson Royal, Davinson Sanchez, Cristian Romero, Sergio Reguilon; Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, Oliver Skipp; Bryan Gil, Dele Alli, Son Heung-min; Harry Kane.

Chelsea's predicted line-up: Edouard Mendy; Cesar Azpilicueta, Andreas Christensen, Antonio Rudiger; Reece James, Jorginho, Mateo Kovacic, Marcos Alonso; Mason Mount, Kai Havertz; Romelu Lukaku.
