UFC's Paddy Pimblett has revealed he would love to fight Manchester City midfielder Bernardo Silva, with the Liverpool supporter claiming the Portuguese star is a 'horrible wrong'un' and a 'piece of s***'.

Pimblett declared his dislike for Silva during an interview on talkSPORT's Pub Talk as he prepares for his return to the Octagon.

The 27-year-old features on the co-main event of UFC 282 this Saturday night against Jared Gordon.

Pimblett had previously claimed Bruno Fernandes was the footballer he'd most like to fight, insisting last year that the Manchester United midfielder is 'so overrated'.

The Liverpool supporter revealed he would now switch his attentions to another Portuguese star named Bruno plying his trade in Manchester, when asked during the interview about which Premier League player he would most love to fight.

'Last season, when he first got signed, it was Bruno Fernandes, 'cause of how overrated he was,' Pimblett said. 'But now, it's Bernardo Silva, lad. I don't know anyone who likes Bernardo Silva, lad.

'He's an unbelievable footballer. He's a proper baller. But he's a horrible wrong'un. He's a piece of s***.

'That time when they gave us [Liverpool] a guard of honour, and he just stood there. Come on lad.'

Silva has been a key part of Manchester City’s side since joining the club in 2018, with the 28-year-old lifting the Premier League on four occasions.

The midfielder has also won one FA Cup and four Carabao Cup winners’ medals during his time at the club.

Pimblett, known as The Baddy, will make his fourth UFC appearance when he faces Gordon.

He has beaten Luigi Vendramini, Kazula Vargas and Jordan Leavitt in his first three outings for the UFC.

Pimblett has claimed he will have a 'breakout performance' against Gordon, with the American currently 19-5 and has faced the likes of Charles Oliveira before.

Jan Blachowicz and Magomed Ankalaev will square off inside the octagon this weekend too with the vacant light-heavyweight belt on the line.
