West Ham have revealed their new Umbro home and away kits for the 2019-20 season and they have been inspired by their 1980 FA Cup-winning side.
The home shirt is claret and blue with blue sleeves with claret cuffs with reference to the FA Cup victory on the back of the neck. Claret shorts and socks complete the strip.
While the away jersey is all white as a tribute to the strip worn almost 40 years ago at Wembley stadium.
Blue and claret stripes make up the cuffs of the sleeves as well as the v-neck of the shirt. Again the 1980 FA Cup win is referenced on the back and the away kit is finished off with white shorts and socks.
Club captain Mark Noble told the club's official website following the unveiling : 'To wear this shirt, especially with the West Ham badge on it – it takes an honest player, hard-working, a player that leaves everything on the pitch and plays for the crest on the shirt.
'When you play for this Club, you join a family and players do realise that this is not just an ordinary Football Club, this is a great Football Club, with a great history, and the shirt represents just that.'
