Matthijs de Ligt stole the spotlight during Ajax's title celebrations after he delivered a truly spine-tingling speech.
When the 19-year-old Dutch centre-back wasn't catching an object thrown at Amsterdam mayor Femke Halsema, he was making it clear how important this season has been to his club and Dutch football.
De Ligt, who has been heavily linked with a move to Barcelona in the summer, took the microphone in one hand and had the Eredivisie title in the other as he made an inspiring speech, speaking about the achievements of Ajax and paying tribute to the legendary Johan Cruyff.
"What's more important is that we have shown everyone what Ajax is about, what kind of city Amsterdam is," he said.
"We have shown everyone what we stand for and that is attacking football. We've shown everyone what the big man above us [Johan Cruyff] wanted to see and what he expected from us.
"We did it all together: experienced players, youth players, everyone. And the supporters, we want to thank you for a fantastic season."
