Bayern Munich could offer a new two-year contract to keep Serge Gnabry at the club.
Gnabry has a contract at Allianz Arena until the end of the season, but he is not worried about his situation at the club.
The German attacker has scored 96 goals in 293 appearances for Bayern in all competitions since making his debut in 2018.
During the summer transfer window, it was speculated that Gnabry could be sold, but that did not happen.
The 30-year-old clarified that he did not receive any indication from the club that he was not needed, nor did anybody tell him to look for options elsewhere.
“I didn’t see myself as a candidate for sale. No one told me to pack my things,” Gnabry told SportBild in September.
In the absence of injured Jamal Musiala, Gnabry has stepped in nicely. He has already produced some terrific performances this season, scoring three goals and assisting three times in five Bundesliga starts.
Christian Falk told CFBayern earlier this month that Gnabry is willing to take a pay cut to remain at the German club.
Max Eberl is in charge of lowering the squad wage bill, and therefore, it is unlikely that the Bavarian giants will offer him a massive pay rise; rather, the opposite.
According to a report from SportBild, Gnabry is currently earning between €17m and €20m, and both sides will likely reach an agreement in talks, with a new two-year contract a possibility.
Gnabry out of Champions League clash vs Club Brugge
The German attacker picked up an injury after the international break in training and missed Bayern’s 2-1 win over Borussia Dortmund.
The versatile forward was unable to complete the second phase of training ahead of the match and has been ruled out of the Champions League clash against Club Brugge.
In his absence, Nicolas Jackson, on loan from Chelsea, is likely to start.
