Bremen vs Bayern Preview: Can Bavarians reach the final in domestic cup?

  /  Ba1ma

A place in the DFB Cup final is at stake as Werder Bremen host Bayern Munich in the last four of the competition.

Bremen are out for revenge four days after their narrow 1-0 Bundesliga defeat in Munich, but may have to do it without captain Max Kruse after he suffered a bruised thigh in the loss.

The record champions continue their push for a domestic double after maintaining their lead over Dortmund thanks to their win at home to Bremen.

Their path to a 10th consecutive DFB Cup semi-final has been somewhat rockier than expected with tight 1-0 and 2-1 wins at fourth-tier Drochtersen/Assel and Rödinghausen respectively.

Captain Manuel Neuer is also not available to the Croatian as he recovers from a calf injury, while James Rodriguez remains a doubt with a groin problem.
