Dortmund is interested in Quinten Timber, brother of Jurrien; Brandt could leave

It has been learned that BVB representatives were at the Europa League match between Stuttgart and Feyenoord to take a closer look at midfielder Quinten Timber. The scouting process is already in its final stages.

However, the final decision on whether BVB will actually go for Timber has not yet been made. There has been no contact between Dortmund and Timber's side to date. The twin brother of Arsenal star Jurrien Timber is under contract in Rotterdam until 2026. Feyenoord wants to extend his contract, but the 24-year-old is definitely ready for a change of scenery.

As things stand, he would be available on a free transfer next summer. That naturally makes the central midfielder all the more interesting – especially as the future of some BVB professionals is uncertain.

For example, Salih Özcan could leave Westphalia in the upcoming transfer window. The 27-year-old currently plays only a minor role, with just four brief appearances and 21 minutes of competitive play this season. However, Özcan's side is not currently exploring the market, so it is possible that he will remain with the club in the winter. But by summer at the latest, they will part ways. He has no future at BVB.

Groß could leave – Brandt learns Spanish

Pascal Groß could also leave. The 34-year-old is considered a candidate for departure at Borussia Dortmund, with his contract expiring in 2026. However, a final decision has not yet been made.

Julian Brandt's contract also expires next summer. BVB wants to extend it, but at a reduced salary. According to Sky Sport information, the 29-year-old midfielder has already received an offer from BVB. Brandt is considering the offer, but has not yet accepted or rejected it.

While Borussia Dortmund is closely monitoring a Feyenoord star in its search for reinforcements, the future of numerous BVB stars is uncertain. Among them is Julian Brandt, who is already learning Spanish.

The 48-time German international is basically open to staying, but can also imagine a change. Interesting: Brandt has recently started learning Spanish. The 29-year-old moved from Bayer 04 Leverkusen to Dortmund in 2019 for £25 million. Since then, he has played 279 competitive matches for BVB, scoring 50 goals and setting up 68 more. How many more will there be?

According to Sky Sport information, BVB is also exploring the market for centre-backs. Niklas Süle (contract expires in 2026) no longer has a future in Dortmund. Furthermore, it is unclear how and whether captain Emre Can (contract until 2026) will continue. BVB is therefore specifically examining options.

It is possible that the Westphalians will already take action in the winter and make preparations for the summer.
