Match Report

Bayern Munich's Bundesliga title celebrations were put on hold after Yussuf Poulsen's stoppage-time equaliser snatched a 3-3 draw for RB Leipzig.

Vincent Kompany's side could still secure top-flight glory this weekend, if Bayer Leverkusen – who are nine points behind the leaders with a game in hand – fail to win away to Freiburg on Sunday.

A chaotic opening saw Benjamin Sesko lob a stranded Jonas Urbig for a delightful 11th-minute opener, before Lukas Klostermann doubled the home side's advantage six minutes before the interval.

Michael Olise sparked a comeback in the second half, first setting up Eric Dier from a corner, before linking up with Serge Gnabry and scoring himself just a minute later to level proceedings.

Bayern seemed set to clinch the title when Leroy Sane fired home with just seven minutes remaining, only for Leipzig to fight back in the dying seconds.

Xavi Simons found a pocket of space outside the area and rolled through for Poulsen, who showed remarkable composure to lift a chip over the onrushing Urbig to level in the fourth minute of stoppage time.

The last-gasp draw leaves Bayern waiting on Leverkusen's result to seal their top-flight title, otherwise Kompany's side can secure the Bundesliga crown when they host Borussia Monchengladbach next Saturday.

Data Debrief: Sesko and Olise shine

Sesko was once again on target against Bayern, making it three straight Bundesliga games when he has found the net against Kompany's side.

In fact, only Harry Kane (18) and Hugo Ekitike (14) have been directly involved in more goals at home this season than Sesko (13; nine goals, four assists).

However, Bayern had their own attacking brilliance to call upon in Olise, who has now recorded 13 assists in the Bundesliga this season, a league high.

No new Bayern signing has ever set up as many goals as Olise in a Bundesliga campaign since records began in 2004-05, and his efforts were the decisive factor in dragging the visitors back into the game.

Bayern will feel they did enough for victory after accumulating 1.56 expected goals to Leipzig's 0.90, but Poulsen's last-gasp heroics left the visitors' celebrations on ice.
