Bayern Munich president Herbert Hainer has praised Wirtz but stressed that the club is currently "extremely satisfied with the squad."
Bayern Munich is currently not considering signing Germany international Wirtz.
"First of all, I think Wirtz is an excellent player, there's no doubt about that," club president Hainer said on the sidelines of a commemorative event in Munich. "I feel a bit sorry for him because he hasn't quite replicated his Leverkusen form since moving to England, and we need him performing well for the German national team."
However, Hainer then emphasized: "We have such a top-class squad, and we are extremely satisfied with it right now, so this is not a topic for us at the moment." Wirtz has yet to truly establish himself in his second season at Liverpool, but his contract with the Reds does not expire until 2030.
