Bayer Leverkusen sporting director Simon Rolfes has refused to be drawn on speculation linking Kai Havertz with a move to Manchester City next year.
The 20-year-old midfielder is one of the most highly regarded talents in European football and as such has been linked with a high profile move in the January window.
Speculation over the summer had seen the likes of Barcelona and Real Madrid linked with a move for Havertz, while there were also reports linking him with City, Manchester United , Liverpool and Arsenal.
Rolfes was asked about the latest batch of rumours but insists he is not interested by the gossip.
"I am not interested in that," he told Bild. “It only elicits a weary smile from me.”
