The 2026 Ballon d'Or winner has been announced, with Bayern Munich's English forward Kane ultimately winning the award.
Previously, Gerd Müller (1970), Franz Beckenbauer (1972 and 1976), and Karl-Heinz Rummenigge (1980 and 1981) had all won the Ballon d'Or as Bayern players, and Kane has now joined their ranks.
However, unlike his predecessors, Kane is an English player, making him the first foreign player in Bayern's history to win the Ballon d'Or.
