According to Sky Sports, Saidou Maiga’s family requested that both brothers be signed, resulting in a transfer standstill.

Saidou Maiga's transfer to Brentford has reportedly stalled, partly because the player's family made an additional demand: that the Premier League club also sign his older brother.
His brother, Malik Maiga, currently plays as a forward for Bundesliga club Köln; Brentford's transfer target is 19-year-old winger Saidou, who has enjoyed an outstanding season in the Bundesliga.
Contrary to previous reports in the German media, no formal agreement has yet been reached between the two clubs and the player himself. Although both sides have discussed the transfer fee in depth, with an offer of approximately £39 million (45 million euros), the amount itself is not an obstacle.
It is understood that Saidou himself is willing to join Brentford, but there remains uncertainty over whether 21-year-old Malik can successfully obtain a UK work permit.
Brighton & Hove Albion are also pursuing Saidou, while several other clubs are interested in the youngster. However, as both brothers are fully represented by the same agent family, the various complications involved in a joint signing make it highly likely that neither brother will be able to move to the Premier League for now.
