In the fourth round of the Champions League group stage, Arsenal secured a 3-0 away victory over Slavia Prague. Following the match, Arsène Wenger discussed the team's prospects in this season's competition.

Speaking on beIN Sports about Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich's Champions League ambitions, Arsène Wenger stated: "I believe they are the two teams most likely to win the Champions League this season, aside from the English clubs."

"Another potential winner is of course Real Madrid, but with Bayern Munich or Paris Saint-Germain, no one doubts their ability to win their respective leagues."

"Paris Saint-Germain will win Ligue 1, while Bayern have virtually secured the Bundesliga title, so their focus this season will naturally shift to Europe."

"They'll have to contend with five Premier League sides, which promises to be fascinating. PSG aren't currently at their best, Real Madrid were still searching for their optimal form against Liverpool, whereas Bayern are in their prime."

Meanwhile, former Premier League striker Danny Deeney also believes Arsenal and Bayern Munich are the two most prominent contenders for this season's Champions League title.

"I think we've all put them in the top three – Paris Saint-Germain, Bayern Munich and Arsenal," Deeney told CBS Sports.

"Beyond that, the rankings shift weekly. I believe we all recognise these three sides, though the order may differ."

"Following their victory over Paris, one could certainly make a compelling case for Bayern as favourites. Yet equally, a strong argument exists for Arsenal to top the list – they lead both the Premier League and Champions League standings, and one could convincingly argue the Premier League presents tougher competition than the Bundesliga."

"For Arsenal, they're top of the table and have kept eight consecutive clean sheets... You could make a strong case for both teams, but Bayern Munich are absolutely among the very best."
