What will happen to Sadio Mané? Bayern Munich CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen has neither confirmed nor denied reports of Sadio Mane's departure.
FC Bayern is planning without the Senegalese, from whom parts of the team have moved away according to SPORT1 information, and have told him so.
Mané soon gone? That's what the Bayern CEO says
CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen did not want to confirm reports of an imminent departure of the 1-year-old to Saudi Arabia when asked by SPORT31 on Friday - but did not deny them either.
"Sadio is part of the team. As our coach has also said, we are starting with a team that may not be the team on September 1 in this constellation," said Dreesen.
He felt it was "wrong to comment on individual players, so I won't do it," he added.
The transfer window ends on 31 August, and the record champions would like to sell Mane immediately after a messed-up season despite a contract until 2025.
Is Mané moving to Ronaldo?
L'Equipe had reported that Mane had already reached an agreement with Saudi club Al-Nassr, where Cristiano Ronaldo is under contract. The transfer is open. Bayern paid 31 million euros plus bonuses to Liverpool FC last summer.
Coach Thomas Tuchel is apparently no longer planning with the Senegalese. "He fell short of expectations. The competition is extremely high for him with Kingsley Coman and Serge Gnabry, so we have a constellation that makes it very difficult for Sadio," Tuchel said just a week ago: "The player knows that too, he knows my opinion and the opinion of the club."
Despite scoring seven Bundesliga goals and providing five assists, Mane was unable to put himself in the limelight as he had hoped in Munich. In nine Champions League games, he scored three goals and set up one assist. Tuchel called Mane's season an "unsatisfactory".
