Marcus Rashford has been left puzzled by one of his attribute ratings on EAFC 24, with the Manchester United forward asking: “Am I that bad?!”

WHAT HAPPENED?

The England international forward has seen his base card rise from 83 to 85 – with a personal-best goal return of 30 efforts last season ensuring that he continues to head in the right direction. There are, however, some areas of his game that require improvement.

THE BIGGER PICTURE

Rashford was asked while filming with the Premier League’s official YouTube channel to guess his defensive ability rating from FIFA 23. He optimistically went with 68 and said after being informed that it was in fact 41: “41?! Am I that bad?!” When taking a shot at this year’s score, he got his prediction spot on when adding: “42, I am shocked with this one, I can't lie.”

The striker was also stunned by his lack of pace in FIFA 23, exclaiming: "87? I can't lie, I thought I should be 89/90.

"But if it was 87 last year… I am the same speed now… [I should be] 89. 87 is rude."

Upon discovering his pace was in fact 90, Rashford had a beaming smile and admitted: "That is a good start. I think I am probably the fastest [at Man United]."

When asked what he thought his he was rated at shooting last year, the United star remarked: "Shooting must have been 84?" But when it was revealed that it was 82, he jokingly replied: "I am going to have a word with them."

Asked about this year's edition, Rashford said: "It has got to be 85 or 87." It was then revealed he had been given a rating of 86, to which he said: "Almost, we are doing well so far."

WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?

Rashford opened his goal account for 2023-24 last time out in United’s 3-1 defeat at Arsenal and will be hoping to get his first effort of the campaign on home soil when the Red Devils return to Premier League action against Brighton on Saturday.
