Real Madrid's Sergio Ramos and his wife, TV star Pilar Rubio, are having a lavish, 12m-euro home built on the outskirts of the Spanish capital.

Television cameras have captured the first images of the mansion being built for Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos and his family on the outskirts of the Spanish capital.

Ramos and his wife, TV presenter Pilar Rubio, are spending 12 million euros on the luxurious 1,500-square-metre residence, which is being built in a 12,000-square-metre estate bought by the couple in 2017.

So far, the progress of the works has been kept under wraps, but this week the Spanish TV programme 'Ya es mediodía' managed to film some images of the outside of the mansion as it takes shape.

Located in the upmarket La Moraleja area, a district favoured by footballers, the home appears to be being built to a cutting-edge, modular design and with all the latest advances in household technology.

It has been revealed that Ramos and Rubio, who are currently expecting a fourth child, are to preserve their privacy by constructing high walls around the complex and building the house itself at a slightly lower level than the homes surrounding it.

Real Madrid star "comes almost every day" to check on works

Ramos, 33, is said to be following the mansion's progress very closely, with one of the workers at the site telling 'Ya es mediodía': "He comes almost every day to see how his house is coming along."

Ramos currently in Ronaldo's former home

Up to now, Ramos and Rubio have been living in a 970-square-metre home - also in La Moraleja - previously occupied by former Real Madrid star Ronaldo Nazário.
