Mason Greenwood's team-mates continued to turn their back on him as the Manchester United star remained in custody over allegations of rape and assault.
Cristiano Ronaldo, David de Gea, Paul Pogba and Marcus Rashford appear to have unfollowed Greenwood on social media following his arrest on Sunday.
The 20-year-old has been suspended by United and was absent on Monday when his team-mates returned to training after the winter break.
Nike announced they had suspended Greenwood's lucrative sponsorship deal, adding: 'We are deeply concerned by the disturbing allegations and will continue to closely monitor the situation.'
United's own partners also expressed their concern.
Shirt sponsors TeamViewer, whose five-year £235million deal began this season, said: 'TeamViewer condemn any form of violent behaviour. We are in close contact with our partner Manchester United, appreciate their immediate actions and support their measures. We trust the authorities will provide clarity in this matter.'
Official partner Cadbury confirmed they would drop Greenwood from any marketing products while the allegations were being investigated, saying: 'Cadbury do not condone violence in any form.'
A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said detectives had been given more time to interview Greenwood, adding: 'Enquiries are ongoing and the victim is being offered specialist support.'
A decision over the next steps is likely to be made on Tuesday. The alleged victim, an 18-year-old student, was interviewed at her family's home on Sunday.
Meanwhile, the FA are under pressure to enforce immediate suspension without pay on players suspected of sexual violence.
Feminist campaign group Level Up took their fight to chief executive Mark Bullingham and the Premier League’s Richard Masters by demanding a zero-tolerance gender-based violence policy. They told them to follow the lead of Major League Baseball, which created a domestic violence policy in 2015.
Greenwood is the third public case of an arrest of a top-flight footballer for sexual violence this season.
Manchester City’s Benjamin Mendy will stand trial later this year charged on seven counts of rape and one of sexual assault, while Brighton midfielder Yves Bissouma remains under investigation on suspicion of sexual assault at a bar on the south coast.
