45 minutes is enough to impress! Frenkie De Jong wins his first MVP with Barca

It's not taken Frenkie de Jong to stand out at Barcelona. He made his Camp Nou debut in the Joan Gamper Trophy against Arsenal on Sunday and was named the game's MVP despite only playing the first 45 minutes.

The former Ajax midfielder showed everything that is expected from him. Anticipation, first touch passes and a lot of security on the ball. His attributes fit in well at his new home, where it looks like he's been playing all his life. The 98,000 fans present were excited by his confidence on his home bow.

De Jong played as the defensive midfielder, the position usually filled by Sergio Busquets, who came on at the break, and where he often played for Ajax.

It will not be the only position he plays with Barça. De Jong can also play ahead of Busquets, which is where he's likely to play this season, on either side of the midfield.
