It has been another big-spending summer in the Premier League but a large number of the 20 clubs in the division will be looking to get some last-minute deals over the line
As we enter the final week of the summer transfer window, there are a few big deals yet to be concluded. Some loose ends are being tied up, though, with Eberechi Eze the latest player to get his move after joining Arsenal.
We've now had two weeks of Premier League action, leaving teams with a better idea of what they might need. Indeed, some clubs who might have felt happy with their business in early August are now realising more work could be necessary.
Reigning champions Liverpool cruised to the title last term with very little in the way of outlay, but things have changed for them this term. They have broken the British transfer record to sign Florian Wirtz, and they might not be done.
At the other end of the table, newly promoted Leeds, Burnley and Sunderland have been busy to varying degrees and all three have started the campaign with a home win and an away loss. James Justin is poised to be the latest in a long line of new additions for the promoted sides, leaving Leicester for Leeds.
So, what else might we see before the transfer window shuts on September 1? Here, Mirror Football takes a look at seven deals which could yet go through.
Alexander Isak (Newcastle to Liverpool)
As Newcastle prepare to welcome Liverpool on Monday night, plenty of the talk will be about Alexander Isak. The striker maintains his career on Tyneside is over, though it'll take a league record bid for Liverpool to bring him to Anfield.
"What I can tell you is not a lot. And if someone else is going to ask that question, it is going to be the same answer," Slot told reporters on Thursday.
"As I have said so many times and it has been shown, I could even impact the game on Friday with the players we had on the bench. It would be much nicer to talk about the players that we have. I understand why you have to ask the question."
Alejandro Garnacho (Man Utd to Chelsea)
Chelsea's discussions over an Alejandro Garnacho move appear to have been productive, at least when it comes to getting the player on side. It's a different story as far as the fee is concerned, though.
The Blues are believed to value the winger at around £25million. United still want more, though - even if the £70m being mentioned back in January would be a tall order.
Last year, Chelsea left it until the very last minute to sign Jadon Sancho on loan from United. This could be another one which goes right to the wire.
Jadon Sancho (Man Utd to Roma)
Earlier in the window, it was suggested that Sancho had turned down Roma. Now, though, Giallorossi boss Gian Piero Gasperini has denied that is the case.
Bayern Munich have also been linked with the winger, though reports in Germany suggest that might not be a goer. Bayern have lost Leroy Sane and Kingsley Coman this summer, but it appears they may go after different targets to Sancho.
After sitting out Manchester United's pre-season tour, Sancho doesn't appear to have an Old Trafford future. The question now concerns where he might end up.
Gianluigi Donnarumma (PSG to Manchester City)
With Manchester United closing in on Senne Lammens, it appears Donnarumma won't be off to Old Trafford this summer. However, the Italian could yet move to the Premier League.
Manchester City have already signed one keeper this summer, with James Trafford returning to the club. He had a nervy game against Spurs on Saturday, costing his term a goal, but feels like one for the present and future.
That said, City could sell two keepers in the coming week, and that would leave them in need of another new face. If Ederson and Stefan Ortega both leave, Donnarumma may well be battling it out with Trafford for a starting spot.
Rasmus Hojlund (Man Utd to Napoli)
AC Milan's pursuit of Rasmus Hojlund may be back on, after Victor Boniface failed a medical over a San Siro move. However, they're not the only Serie A side in the mix.
Napoli have money to spend after cashing in on Victor Osimhen over the summer. Kevin De Bruyne has already joined on a free, and now it's time to find someone for the Belgian to feed.
According to reports in Italy, former Manchester United midfielder Scott McTominay has been attempting to talk Hojlund into a move to Stadio Diego Armando Maradona. This will certainly be one to keep an eye on.
Xavi SImons (RB Leipzig to Chelsea)
Unlike some of the other players on this list, Simons has continued to play for his club despite mounting speculation over his future. The Dutch international played in RB Leipzig's opening day defeat to Bayern Munich, and also got an outing in the cup.
Chelsea have had a busy summer already, with Estevao and Jamie Gittens both arriving to bolster the attack. However, they might not be done, with sales - including the imminent exit of Carney Chukwuemeka - helping raise funds.
Another player who could yet leave Stamford Bridge this summer si Nicolas Jackson. The Senegal star is behind Liam Delap and Joao Pedro in the pecking order, and Newcastle might be able to offer him a route out.
Marc Guehi (Crystal Palace to Liverpool)
We finish back with Liverpool. The Reds were left wanting at the back against Bournemouth in their league opener, and Giovanni Leoni - who signed on the afternoon of that game - might not be the only centre-back to join this month.
Crystal Palace captain Guehi has been a long-time target for the Reds, and is now in the final year of his contract in South London. Liverpool's initial offers fell short of Palace's valuation, but it remains to be seen whether that value will be reduced to ensure he doesn't run down his contract and leave for nothing last summer.
In the meantime, Guehi has continued to skipper the club. He hasn't missed a minute yet this season, playing both league games and helping Oliver Glasner's side claim a 1-0 first leg win in their Conference League play-off against Fredrikstad.
