Manchester United will be without Harry Maguire and Benjamin Sesko for their Premier League clash with West Ham on Thursday night, with Ruben Amorim also confirming two more doubts
Manchester United and West Ham could be without as many as eight players for their Premier League clash on Thursday night. Ruben Amorim's squad are back in action, aiming for consecutive victories after their triumphant comeback against Crystal Palace on Sunday.
The Reds overturned a deficit to defeat the Eagles at Selhurst Park, with Joshua Zirkzee and Mason Mount netting goals to secure all three points after Jean-Philippe Mateta had put the home side ahead.
West Ham, on the other hand, are looking to bounce back from a 2-0 defeat to Liverpool on Sunday. Prior to this, the Hammers had enjoyed a three-match unbeaten streak, winning against Newcastle United and Burnley before the international break and then drawing 2-2 with Bournemouth.
Despite West Ham's recent uptick in form, United will be anticipating a win if they hope to secure a spot in the Champions League by season's end.
However, United will have to face the Hammers without Benjamin Sesko and Harry Maguire, who have been ruled out by Amorim. Both Sesko and Maguire have missed the last two games due to injuries sustained in the 2-2 draw with Tottenham prior to the November international break.
Amorim also hinted that there may be two additional unnamed players who are doubtful for the match against West Ham.
The United head coach did, however, confirm that Matheus Cunha is available for selection after being sidelined for the previous two fixtures, alongside Sesko and Maguire.
Speaking ahead of the West Ham clash, Amorim revealed: "We have two doubts for the game, it will change the way we're going to approach it, let's see if they can play. The rest of the squad is good.

"Matheus is back. Harry and Sesko are still out."
As for West Ham, they are set to be without four players for their journey to Old Trafford.
Nuno Espirito Santo confirmed on Tuesday that Crysencio Summerville won't feature in the matchday squad, whilst Lucas Paqueta is serving a suspension following his incredible red card during the loss to Liverpool.
Young left-back Ollie Scarles has progressed to non-contact training but remains unavailable to face United.
Additionally, experienced goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski continues to be ruled out with a back injury.
