He is placed second in when it comes to goals (2) and fourth in key passes (16).
Messi ranked higher than Kylian Mbappe, Robert Lewandowski, Cristiano Ronaldo and Christopher Nkunku.
Leo still remains the centre of Blaugrana's attacks despite Quique Setien trying to make his life easier. It is possible that Messi has been playing with minor ailments. However, Barca's short squad doesn't allow Setien to give the Argentine proper rest.
