Camp Nou was filled as Barcelona took on Liverpool. Fans turned out in droves as the Catalans recorded an attendance of 98,299 fans for the Champions League semi-final first leg. The best attendance of the season.
The previous best had been recorded in the quarter-final against Man United, 96,708, ahead of the 5-1 league win over Real Madrid, 93,265, and the derby against Espanyol, 92,795.
Jurgen Klopp said before the game that "the Camp Nou is not a temple of football," which helped further to fill out the stadium to prove the German coach wrong.
Barca won 3-0 and are well placed ahead of the second leg at Anfield.
