Hello again! We organize clubs from Europe's top leagues into an order that reflects the up-to-the-minute power ranking every Tuesday.
The rankings are a season-long measurement of clubs, tracking teams throughout 2018-19 and taking into account results from all competitions. Our rankings consider advanced stats, full-season play and recent performance with some gut feeling mixed in.
Sides that have lost the fewest games naturally rank higher—though the strength of opposition met in a loss is considered—and both UEFA Champions/Europa League form and presence are used as tiebreakers for those with similar records. Teams that gather big wins against strong opponents get a boost.
Here are the top 10 of the week>>
Both Atletico Madrid and PSG are out of the top 10 following their hugely disappointing results at the weekend.
10. Arsenal
Despite drawing Brighton 1-1 at home which saw them miss out on Champions League qualification through league path, Arsenal had a comfortable 3-1 first-leg lead over Valencia, meaning they have a huge chance of advancing to Europa League Final.
9. Real Madrid
After a two-game winless run Real Madrid finally returned to winning ways. They beat Villarreal 3-2 in front of a rejuvenated Bernabeu crowd - and their No.7 scored a brace. It's Mariano by the way, nothing like the old days anyway.
8. Chelsea
Who say Maurizio Sarri is poor? At least Chelsea have secured Champions League spot at the expense of Arsenal and Manchester United! Considering how terrific Manchester City and Liverpool are, finishing third is not a bad result at all.
7. Tottenham Hotspur
Perfectly explained the meaning of 'bottling'. Their 1-0 defeat at Bournemouth - which saw Son Heung-min and Juan Foyth sent off - 5th in 6 games. On brink of Champions League elimination following their 1-0 home defeat to Ajax as well.
6. Bayern Munich
Continue to show they deserve to be Bundesliga champions more than Borussia Dortmund. 3-1 win over Hannover combining with Dortmund's 2-2 draw with Werder Bremen means Niko Kovac's side are four points ahead with just two games still to play.
5. Ajax
Ajax's youngsters are flying the Dutch flag high as they are chasing their treble dreams. Dutch Cup championship is secured after they beat Willem II by 4-0. 90 minutes away from Champions League Final as they await Tottenham at Johan Cruijff ArenA.
4. Juventus
Two successive 1-1 draws with both Inter and Torino mean little as Juventus have already secured their 8th Scudetto in a row. Cristiano Ronaldo scored both goals and it is time for them to celebrate a still successful campaign.
3. Liverpool
Liverpool's thrilling 3-2 win over Newcastle keeps their title hopes alive but it is more likely that Manchester City win it again. 3-0 defeat at Camp Nou is almost impossible to overturn, considering that Mo Salah and Roberto Firmino are deemed unfit to play the second leg.
2. Manchester City
Pep Guardiola and his side show how champions should look like. Hard to break down Burnley defence? Sergio Aguero took responsibility. 20 minutes left and still 0-0 with Leiceister City? Captain Vincent Kompany does not mind being the most unlikely scorer.
1. Barcelona
Are Barcelona or Lionel Messi stoppable? No. All things considered, Barcelona are most likely to become the only treble winners across Europe's top divisions this season. Ousmane Dembele might be injured, but they have enough firepower to march on to the Champions League Final.
