Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich has given up his director's box at Stamford Bridge, club accounts have confirmed.
The Russian billionaire has spent at least £1million on corporate hospitality boxes every year since 2011, but didn't renew his purchases for the start of the 2018-19 season.
The 52-year-old had spent as much as £3million on securing the booths in previous campaigns.
According to The Times, a footnote in the club's accounts filed to Companies House revealed that Abramovich had given up his boxes.
The revelation comes amid question marks over the future of the Russian as Chelsea owner.
A worsening in British diplomatic relations with Russia saw him withdraw his application to renew his UK residency visa.
He has also canned plans to revamp Stamford Bridge.
According to Bloomberg, Abramovich hired Raine Group, a merchant bank in New York to see over the possible sale of the club last year.
