Ajax switch attention away from Chelsea attacker Hakim Ziyech to Sevilla's Lucas Ocampos

Ajax have turned to Sevilla winger Lucas Ocampos after growing frustrated with Chelsea’s asking price for Hakim Ziyech.

The Dutch giants are trying to find a replacement for Brazilian winger Antony who looks set to join Premier League side Manchester United.

Their first choice had been to bring Ziyech back to the Johan Cruyff Arena. The Moroccan attacker left Ajax in 2020 to join Chelsea, but has struggled to cement himself as a regular first-choice player.

Ziyech has only played once in the Premier League this season as he appears not to be in manager Thomas Tuchel's plans.

Since joining the Blues, the 29-year-old has played 84 times, scoring 14 goals and has assisted ten more in all competitions.

Ocampos joined Sevilla from Marseille in 2019 and has gone on to make 135 appearances in all competitions, scoring 34 goals.

The 28-year-old was also part of the side that won the Europa League in 2020.

Ajax had also considered Aston Villa's Leon Bailey as a replacement for Antony.

The Jamaican winger only joined the Villans last summer from Bayer Leverkusen, but due to injuries he has been unable to live up to expectations.

This season however, Bailey has made four appearances in the Premier League and one in the Carabao Cup scoring one goal.
