Alejandro Garnacho has been rewarded for his breakthrough performances at Old Trafford by being voted Manchester United's Player of the Month for November.

With the Premier League season pausing for the World Cup, United only played four competitive matches in the first part of November, but Garnacho was a standout performer for them.

Having only been handed his first start by Erik Ten Hag at the end of October, Garnacho started twice this month, and scored the winner in the Red Devils' 1-0 Europa League victory against Real Sociedad.

He also made a significant impact from the bench, assisting two goals as United came behind twice to beat Aston Villa 4-2 in the Carabao Cup.

In the final game before the World Cup, he came on as a substitute and netted a dramatic late winner against Fulham to keep United in touch with the top four.

His displays have clearly impressed fans, and he received 69 per cent of the vote for the Player of the Month award, putting him clear of team-mates David De Gea and Casemiro.

De Gea finished second in the poll on 21 per cent, while Casemiro came third on 12 per cent.

After his match-winning contribution against Fulham, Ten Hag hailed Garnacho's talent but warned the teenager that he must maintain his focus to continue his fine form after the World Cup.

Garnacho, who is eligible to play for Argentina and Spain, has not gone to Qatar, and will instead complete warm-weather training with United at the start of next month before the Premier League resumes in late December.

With just five top flight appearances to his name, he has already shown that he has plenty of potential, and appears ready to challenge for a regular starting spot at Old Trafford.
