Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is leaving Liverpool - but faces a dilemma over his pending exit as he decides whether to go in January or depart as a free agent.
There is growing Premier League interest in the former Arsenal star ahead of this month's transfer deadline, with a number of English clubs and teams abroad keen on signing Oxlade-Chamberlain.
Oxlade-Chamberlain is virtually certain to leave Anfield either this month or in July when his contract officially expires.
There is sure to be interest in Oxlade-Chamberlain this summer, when he is available for nothing.
However, with a host of players throughout European football in his position also available for free at the end of the season there are no guarantees the 29-year-old will have the options he has now.
A free transfer exit this summer would likely prove more lucrative for Oxlade-Chamberlain, given the attractive signing-on fees attached to Bosman deals.
With that in mind, Oxlade-Chamberlain must decide whether to seek an exit in January when he has guaranteed top-flight options or risk waiting until the summer when the free transfer market could be flooded.
Oxlade-Chamberlain has featured regularly for Jurgen Klopp's side since the end of the World Cup, scoring his first goal of the season in the 3-1 loss at Brentford.
But moving forward his chances will be severely limited with, fitness permitting, Mohamed Salah, Luiz Diaz, Cody Gakpo and Diogo Jota all appearing to be ahead of him in wide attacking areas.
Equally, he his opportunities in central midfield would also likely to be few and far between with Jordan Henderson, Thiago, Fabinho and Harvey Elliott all preferred by Klopp.
