Trent Alexander-Arnold has been spotted signing a Real Madrid shirt amid speculation of the defender making a move to the Spanish giants.
The Liverpool defender, currently on holiday after reaching the final of Euro 2024, has been linked with a transfer to the Bernabeu after entering the final 12 months of his contract. The Reds' academy product has spent his entire career at Anfield, though it has been posited whether, following Jurgen Klopp's departure, now could be time to consider a move.
That Alexander-Arnold was spending time with Los Blancos star and La Liga player of the season Jude Bellingham will have only added fuel to the fire. The duo have spent time together in Los Angeles as they look get over their Euros heartbreak after the Three Lions fell at the final hurdle against Spain.
In the aftermath of being pictured partying with his England teammate, Alexander-Arnold's time away has also seen him draw interest from fans. A youngster asked the 25-year-old to sign the top he was wearing, a Real Madrid home shirt, and Alexander-Arnold obliged the request.
The Liverpool ace's exploits will certainly add ammunition to Bellingham's arsenal if he attempts to prove persuasive. The pair have formed a good friendship in their time representing England.
Talk of the full-back's future is set to continue as his contract winds down. It is not expected that Alexander-Arnold will leave Anfield this summer but it is said negotiations are currently at an impasse over a new deal.
While rumours are rife that Bellingham is playing 'agent' to persuade his international teammate, Reds boss Arne Slot contacted Alexander-Arnold to discuss his future before the European Championships. In that call, the Premier League winner is said to have been committed to Liverpool.
Slot has so far stayed clear of delving into his player's future in public. The Dutch coach told reporters earlier this week that he would not be drawn on the contract situation.
"My answer will probably be a bit boring," he said. "I think it is the same answer you have heard in the last five six, seven years. That contract situation is not discussed at this place, but just keep trying I would say."
